"If you haven't lived it you can't sing it."

Many new things are starting to happen in the area. We have established Gem City Entertainment Agency and we will begin booking a lot of the new events happening around the area. For those of you who want to be included send your info rlevoice@aol.com
New News!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please mark your calendars for July 27th from 6-9. The place to be is Jazz Central and the event is Rick's 75th birthday party. We will have many of the area's top musicians there to perform, some of the men he served 20 years with in the Air Force and a free buffet cooked especially by Miss Thelma. Ron will be the MC that evening and we would like for you to join us.

Gem City Entertainment has booked the following for the Cannery, David Simpson for May, Linda Dactyl for June and Rick Evans for July, April Alisio will be here in August and Pam Mallory with Jeff Huffnagel will be there in September. Rick will also be doing a special event on July 22 at the Cannery for many of the resturants of Dayton as they have a food sampling evening planned. Time from 6-9.
We are also helping a new venue downtown. Please visit Gregory's at 131 N. Main Street, Dayton, Ohio.  Join us at this wonderful intimate new venue. Their menu is short but delicious and their drinks are wonderful.
Things are starting to look up. I hear music from all-over and most of it seems to be jazz based. Whether its the old standards to the new fusion it's alive and kicking here in greater Dayton.

Please check out our performance page.
What an exciting year we have had. Rick started singing at the area's nursing homes over a year ago. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences he has ever had. There are so many people that look forward to the music. I would ask that all area musicians call these homes and go sing or play for these folks. They are the best groups in the world. Rick actually sang for 136 different homes. If you think you would like to do this give us a call and we will be happy to share with you the names of the activity directors.
